Actually, seriously, Jose has been going through Hell since coming off steroids. There is a very disturbing documentary on his struggles. He is hugely anti steroids now that the damage has set in. He is certainly more anti-steroids than McGwire.; March 14, 2010 at 11:34 AM

Also, I've seen signs for tryouts for the t-ball league around town. I know that they're always looking for volunteers. I'm guessing since he has experience he could probably cut the the head of the line and no one would make too much of a fuss.

I saw that documentary too and it was profoundly sad. Steroids have truly done a number on his health. As you saw, he is also broke without much hope to get financially solvent considering the liens, lawsuits etc.

I would not want his future.

I think absent a criminal record, little leagues will take just about anybody.

His tweet just after the ones I put up invite people to his coed softball games so he appears to have the time.
