Rick Ferrell
On this date in 1944, the Washington Senators start spring training with six knuckleballers on their staff: Alex Carrasquel, Mickey Haefner, Dutch Leonard, Bill Lefebvre, Johnny Niggeling and Roger Wolff. Catcher, Rick Ferrell will catch the flutterballs.
Some people wonder why Rick Ferrell is in the Hall of Fame.

Rick Ferrell
