How do you caption this?

Craig Malislow of the Houston Press reports that Lance Broadway, former pitcher of the White Sox and now a pitcher in the Blue Jays organization sure had an interesting time during a New Year's Eve party in Dallas recently.

Randy Sorrels, attorney for 25 year old, Ivan Pinney says his client had his left eye damaged while being punched and kicked repeatedly by Broadway and his friend, Cameron McGuire.

Sorrels says that the incident started when McGuire was giving some unwanted attention to a female friend of Pinney's while on the dance floor of the Pegasus Room nightclub. Pinney allegedly had a quick word with McGuire and Sorrels says everything was resolved.

But apparently this upset Broadway who had a severe reaction to this, to say the least.

Says Sorrels, "He's taken his shirt off, he takes a running start from Ivan's left-side, punching Ivan in the left side of the face, knocking him out. It broke his orbital socket, broke his cheekbone, shattered his nose and detached his retina."

Sorels said that McGwuire kicked Pinney in the face after he dropped to his knees. Afterwards, according to Sorrels, a brawl broke out and Broadway punched several women, knocking one out. The Dallas Police Department apparently is still investigating.

What the....?

Hey Lance! Listen up here!

Taking your shirt off?!

Taking a running start for a punch?!

Punching several ladies??!!

Knocking one out??!!

Lance/Dude, you can get like really really in trouble doing stuff like this. Why so angry?!* Calm down!

Also the other ladies in the bar will be so NOT impressed at all by your punching ladies in the bar and knocking one out. That never works! That's why they were all screaming and running. You were scaring people. No chance for you with the ladies in the bar after that. None whatsoever! That bridge was torched.

Your buddy, McGuire might have been impressed but overall thumbs down (WAY DOWN) from this corner on your behavior that night.

Next year on New Year's Eve, it's Dick Clark Rockin Eve for you just like the rest of us.

*Broadway looks angry even in that card. If I am the prosecutor, I blow that up and that is Exhibit A for the jury.

Wow, he's lucky he isn't from the NFL; they'd probably try to void his contract for breaking a morality clause. That is absolutely disgraceful! I can understand getting in a fight, but sucker punching a guy soo hard that you threaten his life, and then going back for more is absolutely inexcusable. I honestly think he should get jail time for that. It was a completely unjustifiable assault.

Wait, his first name is Lance and his friend's first name is Cameron?

I think there was some misplaced anger building up from being given soap opera names.

Nico, Gotcha.

Night Owl, I guess I didn't look that closely at the first names but now that you have brought that up, I guess I am a little surprised there were ladies in the bar.

None of you know the situation or even know Lance for the matter. This is an alleged story with only one side out. Who are any of you to pass judgement? Everyone is innocent until proven guilty so until someone is convicted keep your mouth shut.

And for the record, he doesn't look mean in his picture.

I do not know what happened. I do know that the Houston Press article has a ghastly hospital photo of a pretty badly beaten up guy. How he got that way, I don't know. Randy Sorrels says he knows.

One thing I do know. In that card above, the expression on his face is....Dr. Banner about to change.

Well when a guy named Lance Broadway has a male team mate as a New Year's eve date and ends up offending one woman and punching another...I'm thinking he may actually look forward to his prison stay. Good luck Lance, tough guy.
