So where is LaRussa's credibilty in all of this?

He said repeatedly that Mark McGwire never used steroids and shouted down anybody that suggested that he did.

Does he kick McGwire off his staff now?

He has to, right? I mean if we were to take him at his word up until now, then McGwire bamboozled him all these years making him look like a idiot now. You don't cross Tony! Nobody does that.

Unless.....

I can't stand La Russa. He knew. We knew. Sosa knew.

How are you going to be in the locker room with those guys and not know?

He should keep the Big Mac away from his team. It'll just be a distraction. Not that I care. I think though that having Pujols working under the Mac will just bring more controversy and strife than it's worth.

LaRussa knew.

While it was going on, what should he have done? That is a tough call because to put a stop to it would give other teams a competitive advantage as he had to know this was also in other clubhouses.

After the fact when this all came to light, he should have said nothing. Instead he acted like a thug shouting down anyone who dared suggest that the emperor had no clothes.

Unimpressive person.
