

So the Reds managed by Dusty Baker have signed a young, raw prospect from Cuba with apparently a great deal of potential to a long-term contract.
Anybody seeing anything wrong with this picture?
I know that Mark Prior and Jason Schmidt, just to name a few, object.

Just think, with Bailey, Cueto, Volquez, and now Chapman, Dusty has a chance to ruin more talent in one year than most managers get to manage over an entire career. Will he get it done?
I know the history is brutal. But it seems that Dusty has mellowed a bit with his current pitchers. I don't think Jocketty will let him burn them out.
