Luke Scott doesn't believe Obama* was born in this country and so is not the legitimate President
Likes Ted Nugent too. (He really said it!)
Here is my response.
I don't take political advice from career .268 hitters.
I like Slayer.
Swatted that down!
*Probably also calls him by his middle name, Hussein.

Slayer! (Except not the new stuff.)
I most profoundly do not like Obama. But, I agree with you. I wish ballplayers and other celebrities would just STFU. Besides, I don't buy into the whole "birther" thing for at least one reason: if there was anything to it, I gotta think Hillary Clinton would have brought it up during the primaries. So, to get wrapped up in it is (to borrow a baseball term) taking our eye off the ball.

Al,
Opposition to Obama on political principles is 100% legitimate.
The birther movement is a below-the-belt, thuggish attack on a democratically elected official. The election was decided some time ago. That is a "done deal". There is no court that is going to throw Obama out of office.
There will be another election in a few years and that is what they should be working towards.
Ted Nugent used to live around here and it is safe to say that his politics tend towards the far far far right. He has also (apparently inadvertently) used the "N" word on the radio at least once which may (or may not) tell you something about him. Luke Scott's new friend.
