I hate to see a story like this but many Braves fans have been wondering how this guy can be so good now when he was absolutely terrible for the Braves his one year there.
As a Giants outfielder I'm sure he just say that someone gave him a "cream" or "gel" to use and he didn't know what was in it.
Rant on: Too bad you can't nullify the All-Star game. Homefield advantage based on that is such a joke. Speaking of the playoffs, I'd do away with the prohibition against a wild card team playing a team from the same division. Why should Texas be forced to play a better team when the weakest (arguably the wild card, which could be the Angels) is in the AL West? Same with Detroit against, say, the White Sox. Or the Yankees against the Orioles. Best record plays the worst record, however it shakes out. Furthermore, an NL wildcard team should NOT have homefield advantage in the WS. All-Star game and Bud Selig can go scratch. Rant off.
Oh, and speaking about the All-Star game....your guy stunk up the joint that night. Of course, a week or so ago, I saw him bitch slap the Yankees in a game which really mattered.
Scott, the whole "Melky is now really good" thing was really too much for my brain to comprehend. I wish I could say I suspected steroids but since it was Melky Cabrera, I didn't give it much thought and just went on to the next thing.

Holy crap, this is the best news I've heard all day!
Funny you say that. Because, as we watched the All-Star game, I remarked to my son, "Well, so what? It's not like this is a real game or anything."
