David Wells

Born today, David Wells.

In 1998, Wells pitched a perfect game against the Twins. In his autobiography, Wells said he was "hung over" while pitching that game. Frankly, it is my understanding that Wells pitched many games "hung over" so I don't know that this is very noteworthy.

His autobiography also says that he strengthened his pitching arm as a kid by throwing rocks at homeless people.

As much as it pains me to say so, maybe A-Rod is not so bad of a guy after all.
